The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes exhibits donated works of the eight winners of the Premio Nacional a la trayectoria artística 2019. Elda Cerrato, Marta Minujín, Sara Facio, Narcisa Hirsch, Graciela Carnevale, Luis Felipe Noé, Eduardo Serón and Eduardo Gil are the distinguished creators last year. The art pieces, from various disciplines, will become part of the Museum's collection.
In rooms 32 and 33 of the first floor of the Museum, 36 works donated by unsustainable artists in Argentine visual history are exhibited: Elda Cerrato, Marta Minujín, Sara Facio, Narcisa Hirsch, Graciela Carnevale, Luis Felipe Noé, Eduardo Serón and Eduardo Gil , women and men with heterogeneous itineraries, who configured their work through diverse experiences and languages, such as painting, drawing, installations, video and experimental cinema, performance and photography.
The Premio Nacional a la trayectoria artística recognizes the path taken by distinguished creators during decades of work, the power of aesthetic interventions when they motivate new looks and the reflection that comes to shed light on historical time itself. This plurality of perspectives combines a story about the arts in contemporary times.
With this award, which distinguishes every year the trajectory of eight outstanding personalities of the visual arts, the works will become part of the Museum's collection.
The exhibition of works by the award-winning artists can be seen from Friday, January 24 and until April in rooms 32 and 33 of the first floor of the Museum.
